Sparrow hawks kestrels and owls live in the vicinity whilst buzzards nest nearby. Billy and Marella are committed gardeners and grow most of their own vegetables and herbs organically. The gentle contours of the Sperrin mountains, threaded with small country lanes that meander through Mooreland's, bogs and ancient archaeological sites. The rolling Tyrone country side and the quiet nature of the roads that make their way through the heather clad hills are idyllic for cycling, walking and exploring. The Sperrin mountains have some of the earliest settlements in Ireland, from pre-Christian to modern times an array of ancient sites are dotted across the landscape. Standing stones and stone circles abound in the area. Castles, forts, high crosses and monasteries reaching back through the mists of time, feel the past come alive as you move through this ancient land. Situated just outside Omagh in the heart of County Tyrone Northern Ireland midway between Belfast/Larne ferry routes and the West coast of Ireland. Gay friendly.

18th Century Longhouse - ideal base for exploring the Welsh Valleys and beyond... Sleeps 6, 3 bedrooms. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, wooden kitchen table and chairs. The sitting room has sofa and chairs, a cupboard with games and videos, a colour TV and video. There is an entrance porch for wet coats and outdoor shoes. Upstairs to 2 doubles and one twin bedroom.
